The records of the NIIC are divided into two subseries: administrative and subject files. The administrative files include materials from the following NIIC committees: Executive and the governing board (including meeting miinutes, attendance and member lists); reports (annual and weekly); memos; and correspondence. The sbuject files contain promotional materials that were collected for the NIIC's varied public relations programs. There are files and reports on capital formation, agricultural problems, labor-management relations, unemployment, progressive management, labor legislation, war production, workplace discipline, price controls and employment for veterans. These records document the full range of NAM and NIIC public relations campaigns from the mid-1930s through the mid-1940s.
